Link Caster Steer

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Link Caster Steering – Standard and Medium Duty

Link Caster Steer Trailers (Series 53) are available in QUAD-STEER (four-wheel steer) or DUAL-STEER (two-wheel steer) with accurate tracking/trailing characteristics for optimal precision maneuverability with additional stability for high center of gravity and/or tall loads. Series 53 trailers are available in load capacities from 1,000 lbs. and up. Additional deck sizes, superstructure, extra heavy-duty capacity, or other custom-engineered options are available for special applications and requirements.

Link caster steer trailers are an economical alternative to automotive steering, providing maximum stability and maneuverability. Steering is controlled by a towing tongue, with linkage arms connected to specialty constructed swivel caster assemblies. A connecting arm links the front and rear steering assemblies for the four-wheel steer version.

Link Caster Steering – Heavy Duty

Heavy-duty link caster steer trailers are primarily used in extremely heavy applications where stability and maneuverability are major considerations. Steering is accomplished through the use of linkage arms connected to machined steel fifth wheel plates which act as heavy-duty swivel casters activated by the towing tongue. The four-wheel steer version uses a connecting arm to link the front steering assembly to rear assembly.

Link steer trailers are designed for use on smooth floors in industrial plants, mills, warehouses, and other applications.

Quad Steer Option

The quad steer trailer option is the perfect choice for those who need a tight turn radius and excellent tracking ability. Quad-steer trailers are ideal for maneuvering in tight spaces and are an excellent solution for moving heavy loads while saving valuable floor space. Their four-wheel steering system gives them superb maneuverability, making them perfect for use in tight spots. With true tracking from the first to the last train, these trailers offer a safe and efficient way to move your products.

Four-wheel steering can make it easier to tow multiple carts behind a vehicle. By keeping all four wheels in alignment, the carts can track smoothly and evenly, making it easier for the driver to control them. This can be especially useful when navigating tight corners or crowded areas. Whether you’re moving through a crowded warehouse or navigating a busy construction site, quad-steer trailers can get the job done quickly and efficiently.
